Jake Paul is leaving no stone unturned in preparation for his upcoming clash with Anthony Joshua.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer is set to lock horns with AJ on December 19 in Miami in a professional heavyweight contest over eight, three-minute rounds.
Few are giving Paul even the slimmest chance of beating the two-time unified heavyweight champion, but the 28-year-old is training like a madman to prove his detractors wrong.
On Wednesday, Paul took to Instagram to give his 28.2million followers an insight into how he is getting ready for the monumental challenge, which includes two gruelling training sessions a day.
Morning routine
Paul wakes up at around 8am and jumps straight into a hot tub to warm his body up nice and early.
He then starts some grounding and breathwork exercises before heading to breakfast.
All of Paul’s meals are prepared by a personal chef, who is helping the natural cruiserweight pile on the pounds for his second fight in boxing’s glamour division.
Calorifically dense foods and large portion sizes have become a staple for Paul, who is expected to tip the scales between 215lbs and 225lbs on fight night.
The breakfast he showed off in his video was scrambled eggs on toast, two beef patties and a side of fruit, granola and yoghurt.
After his first meal of the day, Paul then jumps into an ice bath before heading to the gym in his Ferrari SF90 Spider for his morning session at roughly 10am.
First training session
Paul owns a two-storey private gym in Puerto Rico, a short drive away from his luxury $20million mansion.
The unit comes complete with two boxing rings, a large heavy bag area and a separate weight zone for strength and conditioning.
Paul didn’t show too much of his gym work, besides a few clips, but he mentioned that his first session is mainly sparring, pad work and bag drills.
Two hours later, Paul goes upstairs to rest and recover.
He is seen undergoing red light therapy with oxygen, before some stretching and a massage.
When he heads back home at around 1pm, his recovery process continues, as Paul jumps into a hyperbaric chamber to increase the amount of oxygen in his body.
The video then skips to Paul’s second session of the day at 8pm.
And while there is a big chunk of time left unaccounted for, it is more than likely that Paul is cramming in calories during the interim period.
Second session
Paul heads back to the gym in his old school Japanese Hilux truck for a brutal strength and conditioning session as the sun goes down.
He can be seen working on his foot speed with some ladder drills before repping out some weighted pull-ups, push-ups and back extensions.
The all-important neck exercises come next, followed by a run on the treadmill and a bit of film study on Joshua.
After another massage, Paul heads home for a pasta, steak and asparagus dinner at 11.30pm.
He then falls to sleep at midnight with a series blaring away on his massive flat screen TV.
